The main differences between ordinary air conditioners and explosion-proof air conditioners are as follows:

1. Applicable Environment:

- Ordinary air conditioners are suitable for general civil and commercial environments, such as homes, offices, shopping malls, etc., where there are no flammable, explosive gases, dust and other risk factors.

- Explosion-proof air conditioners are mainly applied in dangerous environments with flammable and explosive substances, such as production workshops and storage warehouses of petrochemical enterprises, as well as pharmaceutical factories and chemical plants with flammable dust and other industrial sites.

2. Structural Design:

- The outer shell of ordinary air conditioners is generally made of ordinary plastic or metal materials.

- The outer shell of explosion-proof air conditioners is made of special explosion-proof materials, which has higher strength and has the properties of flameproof and explosion-proof. The connections of internal components are also closer to prevent sparks from leaking out or external dangerous substances from entering the interior of the air conditioner and causing an explosion.

3. Electrical System:

- The electrical components of ordinary air conditioners, such as motors, controllers, sensors, wires and cables, do not have special explosion-proof treatment.

- The electrical system of explosion-proof air conditioners all adopts explosion-proof treated components, which limits the generation and spread of electrical sparks and arcs to reduce the explosion risk.

4. Performance Focus:

- Ordinary air conditioners focus more on cooling and heating efficiency, energy-saving effect, and comfort functions.

- The focus of explosion-proof air conditioners is to ensure the explosion-proof performance. On the basis of realizing the basic temperature regulation function, it guarantees the safe operation in a dangerous environment.

5. Price:

- Due to the higher requirements and cost investment in structural design, electrical system and production process of explosion-proof air conditioners, their prices are usually higher than those of ordinary air conditioners.
