The following are some methods for inspecting the performance of the explosion-proof starter:

1. Visual inspection: First, inspect the appearance of the explosion-proof starter to check whether the shell has any damage, deformation, corrosion, cracks, etc.; check whether the fastening screws are loose; observe whether the sealing elements at the inlet and outlet are intact to ensure its explosion-proof performance.

2. Insulation performance test: Use a megohmmeter to measure the insulation resistance of the explosion-proof starter and check the insulation resistance value between the main circuit and the ground and between phases. Generally speaking, the insulation resistance value should not be lower than the prescribed standard value to ensure the good insulation performance of the circuit and prevent leakage and short circuit.

3. Electrical parameter measurement: Use a multimeter or a dedicated electrical measuring instrument to measure the voltage, current and other parameters of the explosion-proof starter. Check whether the input and output voltages are within the normal range; measure the current of each phase to ensure that the current is balanced and meets the rated current requirements of the equipment.

4. Function test:

(1) Start and stop function test: Operate the start and stop buttons of the starter to check whether the motor can start and stop normally and whether the response is timely and accurate.

(2) Protection function test: Simulate fault conditions such as overload, short circuit, and voltage loss to check whether the protection function of the explosion-proof starter operates normally. For example, increase the load to make the current exceed the overload set value and observe whether the starter can cut off the circuit in time; create a short circuit fault to check the short circuit protection function.

(3) Control function test: Check the working status of the buttons, indicator lights, relays and other components in the control circuit to ensure the control function is accurate and error-free.

5. Grounding inspection: Check whether the grounding terminal of the explosion-proof starter is firmly connected and whether the grounding resistance meets the requirements to ensure the grounding reliability of the equipment and prevent electric shock accidents.

6. Operation stability inspection: Let the explosion-proof starter run continuously under a certain load for a period of time and observe whether there are abnormal phenomena such as abnormal heat, noise, and vibration during its operation to judge its operation stability.

7. Inspection of relevant certifications and marks: Check whether the explosion-proof starter has the corresponding explosion-proof certification mark and certificate of conformity to ensure that it complies with the explosion-proof standards and quality requirements of the country and the industry.
